2 bodies retrieved; Police braves ferocious Sindh to locate 3 more

Five people are feared dead after a vehicle plunged into Sindh river in this famous tourist destination Sunday evening. Police have fished out two bodies and efforts are on to retrieve other three. 
Reports said five persons were travelling in the ill-fated Indigo vehicle bearing registration PB10PJ 8081 when it skidded off the road and plunged into Sindh near Hung.
Giving details, police said a team from Sonamarg police station rushed to the spot, however it could not locate the vehicle in the gushing stream. On Monday, police spotted top of the vehicle and immediately launched a rescue operation.
Putting their lives at risk, the police team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Sonamarg, Afaaq Ahmad, jumped into the Sindh river to fish out the bodies.
After hours of search, the team retrieved the vehicle and fished out a body which was identified as Rahul Kumar Bindal son of Vijay Kumar Bindal resident of Budh Lada, Mansar Punjab. After intense search, police today fished out another male body, however his identity could not be established.
It said the vehicle belonged to Jaishree Har Har Mahadev group which had organized a langar at Baltal for Amarnath pilgrims.
Police said a local, Gulzar Ahmad Ganai son of Abdul Khaliq Ganai of Trang, was also reportedly travelling in the vehicle. “Today locals also joined us in the rescue operation. We are making all efforts to fish out other three bodies,” said SHO Sonamarg, Afaaq Ahmad.
Police said two selection grade constables identified as Zakir Hussain and Ghulam Mohiuddin were injured in the rescue operation.
