Mass copying: 6 Kashmir officials suspended
Six officials of education department in district Shopian were suspended after Deputy Commissioner Shopian paid a surprise visit to the examination centres on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Ghulam Mohammad Dar visited the examination centres in the district during which the students in Government Higher Secondary School Turkawangam were caught red-handed with chits and copying.
The Deputy Commissioner reacting to this suspended the superintendent, deputy superintendent alongwith four supervisors of the examination centre, reports said.
The deputy commissioner assured that stringent action would be taken against those involved in the practice and strict vigil would be maintained on all examination centres.
New examination staff would be deputed for the upcoming exams to thwart this menace, he said.
