Minister’s ‘Bharat Mata Ki…’ slogan goes unanswered
Minister Sukhnandan Kumar on India’s Independence Day, had to face an embarrassing moment when he raised the ‘Bharat mata ki…’ slogan but no one answered.
This happened after the minister unfurled the Indian flag and finished addressing the gathering at the official event held district in Baramulla Police Lines. After finishing his speech, the minister raised the slogan thrice, but no one – neither the assembled people nor schoolchildren, government forces, and officers — answered his slogan.
After this, the minister actually asked, ‘Yahan koi nahi hai meray siwa jo meray naaray ka jawaab deta’ (Is there no one here apart from me who will respond to my slogan?).
The MLA, Mohammad Abbas Wani, MLA Yawar Dilawar Mir, MLA Javed Hasan Beigh, Deputy Commissioner of Baramulla, BJP leader Mir Mushtaq and other officers of the district administration, police, CRPF and army personnel were also present on the occasion.
