Two houses damaged, six water mills washed away in flood in Rajouri district
Two houses were damaged and six water mills washed away in flash-floods triggered by heavy rains in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Due to heavy rains, there were floods and mudslides in Bhella rivulet yesterday in the Bella-Lakhi belt of Rajouri, district officials said.
Due to which, mud houses of two persons in Khwas were fully damaged due to a landslide, they said, adding, six water mills constructed in the Bhella rivulet in the area were also washed away in the flash floods.
Huge chunks of agricultural land with maize crop have been damaged either due to water or mudslide, they said.
Flash-floods caused damage to Kotranka-Khwas-Phera, they said, adding, there was, however, no loss of life or injury to anyone in the floods.
