Ganderbal hospitals lack heating arrangements, patients, staff suffer

Hospitals in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district are without any proper heating arrangements due to which patients and hospitals staff is facing immense inconveniences.

People said that though the hospitals except Trauma Hospital Kangan which has central heating system installed, lack any central heating system.
The authorities have failed to make any alternate heating arrangements in the hospitals, people said.
Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal, Dr Roshan Din Kasana told that they have directed the concerned Medical Officers to use gas bukharis in their centers from December.
Meanwhile, BMO Ganderbal Dr Shabir Ahmad Awan said that they will ensure heating arrangements in all hospital in Kangan block very soon.
“I have directed the Medical Officers today to start use of bukharis as an alternate heating arrangement so that the patients didn’t face any inconvenience,” BMO told.
