MeT predicts ending of dry spell Feb10 onwards
The prolonged dry spell in Jammu and Kashmir is expected to end on February 10 when scattered rainfall is expected, the MeT department said.
On February 11, there will be widespread rainfall in most of the places across the state, Director J&K MeT department, Sonam Lotus said.
“This widespread rainfall would be followed by fairly widespread rainfall at many places and then on February 13 there will be scattered rainfall at a few places,” he said.
No weather warning has been issued for the next five days as the rainfall would be moderate.
He said that the daytime temperature in Jammu region has seen a slight increase with the maximum being recorded at 21 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 7 degrees Celsius.
Leh district in Ladakh region continues to reel under cold climatic condition with the maximum temperature recorded at 5 degrees C and the minimum at minus 12 degrees C today, Lotus said.
