Violent clashes rock Hajin as local demand bodies of slain militantsViolent clashes erupted in Hajin town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday as locals staged a demonstration against the killing of three militants in a fierce gunfight with forces last night.

Earlier, forces lobbed tear gas shells to disperse the protesters, including women, marching towards the Hajin Chowk to demand the bodies of the militants.
Witnesses said the angry youths resorted to stone-pelting on the police and paramilitary forces from both the sides of river Jhelum and near the Jamia Masjid in the town.
The clashes were going on at the time of filing of this report.
