Now, Pvt schools demand ‘ransom fee’

With no letup in additional fee demand by some leading private schools in the City, the administration seems to sleeping on the issue.
For issuance of class 10 Board exam roll number slips the schools are demanding additional fee of five months while students and their parents say they have already cleared the 12-month dues for the academic session.
The students and parents today staged protests against a leading private school in the City over their “demand of ransom.” “They are not issuing roll number slips till we pay the additional fee, which amounts to nothing but ransom,” the complainants said.
“The new government has taken charge and they are fully aware about the terrible devastation floods have caused. We humbly beseech and appeal the new dispensation to take notice of the inhumane attitude of the school management by asking students to pay extra fees,” they said asking Education Minister Naeem Akhter to personally look into the mater.
