Union Min to take up Zojila, Z-Morh tunnels: Bukhari

Minister for R&B, Syed Muhammad AltafBukhari has the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has taken up construction of Zojila tunnel as well as Z-Morh tunnel on National Highway-1D in order to have all weather connectivity for Leh region in the State.
The Minister said that the construction of the tunnel was entrusted to BRO who invited Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the project in which four bidders were found qualified, besides, an amount of Rs. 20.86 crore was also deposited by BRO with the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal for acquisition of revenue and forest land.
