Register cases against former corrupt ministers in J&K, demands BJP

The BJP on Wednesday demanded that cases be lodged against former ministers of the state belonging to the Congress and National Conference against whom there are allegations of corruption.

Register cases against former corrupt ministers in J&K, demands BJP“As there are allegations on more corrupt former ministers belonging to Congress and NC government, all such elements should be booked under law of the land”, BJP State Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi told reporters here.

“The party appreciates the investigations made by State Vigilance Organisation (SVO), wherein a former Minister of Congress Raman Bhalla has been indicted for illegally occupying the government land and constructing a palatial bungalow costing rupees five crores,” said Sethi.

Sethi said that the party appreciates the efforts put by SVO in exposing Congress Minister and expects that more such faces will be exposed in future for their involvement in corrupt practices and making huge properties.

He alleged that both the Congress and NC had shielded the tainted ministers during their rule in the state, which encouraged them to indulge in loot and fleece.

Sethi, while reiterating party?s categorical assurance of ending corruption, providing good governance and ensuring development, claimed that not even a single case of corruption has been noticed during the four month rule of PDP-BJP coalition government, while many developmental projects and activities have been taken into hand.
