Stay Away From Immoral Acts, Warn Terror Posters

In a development that may raise an alarm in the security establishment, mysterious terror posters have appeared in Pulwama area of South Kashmir. The posters claiming to be from Hizbul Mujahideen, a Kashmir-based and Islamic group, warns people to stay away from “immoral” acts and asked the beauty parlours to shut down their businesses in the area.
Kashmiri separatists have earlier too banned cinema halls, wine shops and beauty parlours in the Valley, calling them unIslamic. In the early 1990s, radical separatist groups in Kashmir have campaigned against beauty parlours and obscene posters depicting women in bad light.
Last week, flags of terror outfit Islamic State along with those of Pakistan were raised in Kashmir by a group of youth, with faces covered, as they marched from Jamia Masjid towards Nowhatta chowk in downtown Srinagar soon after the Friday prayers. This is one of the many such incidents where masked men were seen publically brandishing the flag of the outfit and Pakistan.
Earlier this month, a group photo of local Kashmiri boys, mostly new militant recruits of the Hizbul Mujahideen, went viral on social media in Kashmir, sending security agencies into a tizzy. While Pakistani-based outfits such as Lashkar-e-Toiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen are operating in the Valley, the appearance of Islamic State and al Qaeda supporters has caused concern.
Graffiti welcoming Islamic State, Taliban and al Qaeda has also appeared in many parts of the city.
