Kashmir, Palestine must be resolved through dialogue: Mirwaiz

Terming Kashmir and Palestine issues as international challenges having far reaching consequences on world peace, the Executive Council of Hurriyat Conference (M) called for the resolution of these two long-standing issues.
Kashmir, Palestine must be resolved through dialogue - MirwaizThe Executive Council meeting held at Mirwaiz Manzil at Nigeen  presided over by the Chairman Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq Wednesday discussed the present political situation and different aspects of the ongoing resistance movement in Jammu Kashmir along with various organizational matters.
Describing the approach at international level to find the solution of issues through dialogue as positive and insistence upon India and Pakistan by International community especially by UN as well as by US to resolve the various issues pending between them including the dispute over Kashmir through meaningful dialogue as satisfactory Hurriyat (M) said issues like Kashmir and Palestine are pending since many decades, posing great threat to the global peace and stability therefore it is imperative to find solution of these issues at priority basis through dialogue.
Hurriyat (M) Executive Council said both disputes need to be resolved keeping the historic facts of the two issues in mind and by initiating meaningful and result-oriented talks.
The meeting emphasized that Kashmir issue had become an apple of discord between New Delhi and Islamabad has held the peace of entire South Asian region hostage.
Terming the seriousness of the international community for the resolution of Kashmir issue by calling for peaceful resolution as positive, the conglomerate emphasized upon leadership of India and Pakistan to exhibit political maturity and statesmanship by including the people of Kashmir in any dialogue process over Kashmir.
During the meeting, preparations for holding a seminar in connection with International Human Rights Day on December 9, 2015, Wednesday at conglomerate’s Rajbagh office were given a final shape.
During the seminar issues of ‘human rights violations, arrests of Kashmiri youth, restrictions on the political, social and religious activities and house arrests of the separatist leadership, use of excessive force on the peaceful protestors, imposing curfew’ in most areas of Srinagar would be highlighted, Hurriyat (M) spokesperson said.
