PM visit: 22 more companies of forces to arrive today
Ahead of Prime Minister’s visit to Kashmir on July 4, at least 22 additional companies of forces are arriving in the Valley on Wednesday, sources said.
These companies, they said, would be deployed in central and north Kashmir. “Additional 2500 cops would be deployed on roads leading to Uri in north Kashmir where the PM is scheduled to inaugurate a power project on July 4,” the sources said. “Some of them would be deployed on roads leading to Raj Bhavan in Srinagar.”
Meanwhile, officials said, all security arrangements have being put in place in advance for the PM visit. On Monday, the J&K’s Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra chaired a high-level meeting to review the security arrangements put in place for the Prime Minister’s arrival.
