BJP hints at alliance with NC
Ahead of the vote count, rightwing party BJP Monday hinted at alliance with National Conference, saying NC for them are not ‘untouchables’.
“In the interests of the State, we can have a coalition with NC. The party is not untouchable for us. Let us see what the results would be,” BJP general secretary and inchange JK, Ramesh Arora told a local news gathering agency, KNS.
Rejecting any alliance with PDP, he said party’s understanding would not match with the agenda of the PDP. “It Is PDP that raises slogans of Muzafarabad challo and self rule. It even talks of dual currency. We cannot have alliance with such a party”.
Arora further said it would be pre-mature to predict any alliance as the results are yet to come.
“Let us all wait for the results. We believe that with some independents if we can form the government. Also if we need, we can align with NC.”
