No concrete assurance from Centre to PDP as yet

No concrete assurance from Centre to PDP as yetThe chances of government formation in the state look bleak as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has not received any concrete assurance on the implementation of the confidence-building measures and the ‘Agenda of Alliance’ from the Centre.
This was given out when PDP president Mehbooba Mufti met party legislators here this evening.
Mehbooba Mufti, after landing in Jammu this afternoon, drove to Government Guest House on the Canal road and held one-on-one meeting with party legislators.
“Mehbooba clearly said that she will not compromise on the confidence-building measures and the ‘Agenda of Alliance’ and until she gets assurance that issues mentioned will be implemented on the ground, no headway on government formation will be made,” said a PDP MLA.
She sought the opinion of the party legislators on the future course of action.
Those who met Mehbooba included former ministers Nayeem Akhter and Choudhary Zulfikar Ali, legislators Aijaz Ahmed Mir, Muhammad Yousuf, Syed Mushtaq Shah, Yawar Dilawar Mir, Choudhary Qamar and Shah Muhammad Tantray and Legislative Council Chairman Anayat Ali.
One of the legislators while coming out of the guest house said: “If it is written in destiny, we will form the government.”
