We’ll go beyond Uri, Dulhasti projects: Mehbooba

Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Friday said it will not confine its approach to return of only Uri-I and Dulhasti power projects from NHPC but explore all options to make the State rich in power resources.
PDP president Mehbooba Mufti said besides exploring the modalities of returning Uri-I and Dulhasti to Jammu and Kashmir, the party is striving to revise all royalties and would ensure that the state get its due share.
“We have put forward our point and pitched for one of six ultra mega thermal projects at Madhya Pradesh,” she said adding PDP will go beyond the demand of Uri and Dulhasti’s return.
Mehbooba said her party will rectify the “wrongs committed by the National Conference in the past. The party had given the projects of the state against petty political gains.”
“The biggest problem faced by the people of the state is of power and same will be addressed during the present dispensation. Everything is in black and white. There is nothing hidden from the people,” she said.
