Asia’s ‘longest’ Iftar held on banks of Dal lake

Srinagar created a history by hosting Asia’s ‘longest’ Iftar party on the banks of Dal Lake last evening.

Asia’s ‘longest’ Iftar held on banks of Dal lakeThe organizers claimed that an estimated 3000 people gathered on the lake banks to break the day long fast— over 1.6 Kilometer stretch. They said the guests were served with bananas, dates, mineral water bottles, Tehri (yellow rice) and fried chicken etc.
The Iftar was organized by Loud Beetle, Srinagar and Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh with support of 92.7 Big FM, J&K Tourism, Khyber, Ahad, Airtel 3G, Petro Min, TCI, City Sign, Hangers, Kathi Junction, J&K Headlines, Rasna, Kashmir Box.Com, Urth Cafe, Hap Looks, My Rahat, and TSH
The organizers said the Chief Executive Officer Loud Beetle Ahmer Khan, Director Tourism Farooq Ahmad Shah and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges Dr. Anshu Kataria, congratulated all the supporters for making the event successful.
“Kashmir has set an example by organizing the Asia’s longest party. Earlier to it the record was set for World’s longest Iftar of 1508 m organized in Saudi Arabian City which was mentioned in Guinness World Records,” the organizers claimed in the statement.
