Alliance with PDP resulted in BJP’s defeat in Bihar: Hari Om

Alliance with PDP resulted in BJP’s defeat in Bihar - Hari OmA day after massive defeat of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Bihar Assembly polls, BJP leader and ideologue in J&K Prof Hari Om today alleged that the defeat was the result of party’s association with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued by Prof Om, former political adviser to party state president, has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah to snap ties with the PDP without losing a moment to save the party’s credibility.

“The association of the BJP with the pro-self-rule PDP has harmed the party not only in the sensitive state of J&K, but also hurt it at the national level. It was one of the factors that led to the defeat of the party in Bihar,” Prof Om claims.

He said the grand alliance leadership and its spokespersons exploited the developing situation in Kashmir to the hilt. “They made it part of their election campaign and repeatedly charged the BJP with entering into an alliance with what they again and again termed as pro-Pakistan and pro-separatist PDP,” Prof Hari Om said.

Ending ties with the Peoples Democratic Party will go a long way in helping the BJP regain its lost position in the Jammu province and silence the parties like Congress, RJD and JD(U), which invariably contested the BJP’s nationalist credentials by questioning its alliance partner in J&K.
