Indian Army force Kashmiri youth to paste BJP posters

Locals in scores of areas of South Kashmir’s Shopian district Wednesday alleged that Indian Army compels people to paste BJP posters and banners during the dead of night in their localities.

Locals from Zawoora, Kellar and Manloo hamlets told CNS that army personnel from Karewa Manloo camp appears in their area during late hours and drag youth from their house. “The Army men force youth to paste Bhartiya Janata Party posters and banners in different localities of the district,” a resident of Manloo hamlet said.

“On Tuesday evening, an Army patrolling party along with hundreds of saffron posters and banners appeared in the village. The army men forcibly took our youth with them and directed them to paste those posters and banners,” said an elderly person adding that it has become a routine for these Army personnel to harass and force the local youth.
