Include separatists in Kashmir dialogue: Moderate Hurriyat

Days after the Centre rejected any third party involvement on Kashmir, moderate Hurriyat Conference on Friday announced a campaign to press for inclusion of the separatists in the dialogue process.

Addressing a Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid in downtown Srinagar, moderate Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said no solution to Kashmir issue was possible by sidelining the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris.

“Hurriyat will shortly launch a massive campaign — ‘Kashmir First and Kashmiri First’ — with regard to the resolution of Kashmir issue,” he said.

The Hurriyat chairman also demanded change in the examination schedule announced by State Board of Professional Entrance Examination saying the datesheet coincides with that of Aligarh Muslim University.

“Our students cannot appear in both the exams simultaneously as a result of which many of the students will miss their admission in the Aligarh Muslim University,” he said.
