NC will be held accountable for its ‘Sins’ against Kashmiris: Sajad Lone
People’s Conference (PC) chairman Sajad Lone on Sunday lashed out at National Conference (NC) and said that it has also committed all the “sins” the BJP has against the people of Kashmir and said its leaders will be held accountable.
Lone made the comments when former NC zonal vice-president Manzoor Wani joined People’s Conference during a function in Srinagar.
The PC chairman questioned how NC was pained over the repeal of Articles 370 and 35-A.
“Let NC pinpoint one sin they have not done against Kashmiris which was done by BJP,” Lone questioned.
“They filled 40,000 graves with innocent people, slapped PSA on 16,000 as per an RTI and brought the POTA here. How can they claim to be sorry over the removal of Article 370 and 35-A,” he said
He said that their workers have been in jail across India, which happened in the NC regime.
“If people are sent to outside jails like Allahabad now by the current Prime Minister, home minister or LG, NC has also done the same,” he said.
He said that two hangings of Kashmiris happened during NC rule.
“Two hangings happened in their regime – one in father’s tenure and another in son’s tenure. I have neither killed anybody nor sent anybody to jail. We have martyrs in our home,” he said.
Lone said if any of his party leaders visit Delhi, the NC accuses them of holding secret meetings with the Centre, “but even if they (NC) sit on their (BJP’s) laps, they say they are trying to save the nation”.
