Efficiency at Risk: CM’s Adviser Highlights Dangers of Multiple Power Centres
Multiple power centres could impede efficiency of govt, says CM’s Adviser Nasir Aslam Wani
The provincial president of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and Adviser to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Nasir Aslam Wani has said “potential hindrance of having multiple power centres could impede the efficiency of the elected government.”
During his interactions with public and individual delegations at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha in Srinagar on Saturday, Nasir stressed the importance of granting the elected government full authority over administrative areas to facilitate quick and effective decision-making. He said restoring full statehood is crucial for the overall progress and development of J&K.
A party statement said Wani asserted that the government is committed to addressing the concerns of the people and is working towards a brighter future for the region. He urged for “unity and streamlined governance to ensure that the needs of the public are met effectively and efficiently.”
The party said visiting delegations voiced their grievances, which Nasir attentively listened to and promptly assured them that he would direct officials to take necessary action. Nasir said the government is fully aware of the challenges faced by individuals from various walks of life and is dedicated to working tirelessly to address them.
He highlighted that the Omar Abdullah-led government is in tune with the aspirations of the public and is committed to actively representing their interests.
Emphasising the National Conference’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling all promises made to the people, he said that the residents of J&K must exercise patience, as it has only been a short time since the formation of the government.
“The initial progress has been promising. Every pledge outlined in the party’s manifesto prior to assuming power will be upheld. The implementation process is already underway,” he said.
Meanwhile, National Conference chief spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq on Saturday said the doors of the Omar-led government are open for all sections in Jammu and Kashmir.
