Jammu records season’s highest temperature

Jammu today experienced its hottest day of the season so far, with the maximum temperature touching 44 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature was 27.9 degree Celsius, a MeT department official said.
The temperature increased by nearly one degree as compared to yesterday. On June 5, the maximum temperature was recorded at 43.6 degree Celsius and minimum was 22 degrees, the official said.
The day temperature has been increasing daily for the past few days in Jammu, the winter capital of the state.
Dry hot weather will prevail in the state for the next few days, according to a MeT department forecast.
