‘NIA raids expose anti-Muslim, anti-Kashmir mindset of rulers’: Resistance Group

Amid ongoing raids by National Investigating Agency, Kashmir’s joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik on Sunday said a policy of “witch-hunt and terrorization” has been launched by New Delhi against the resistance leadership and business community of Kashmir to “defame and weaken the people’s political struggle and simultaneously cripple the economy of Valley.” This, they said, is “despicable and deplorable.”
In a joint statement here, the resistance trio said a joint meeting will be held at Hyderpora residence of Geelani where “future course of action” will be decided and people will be accordingly informed through press, on Monday.
Slamming NIA raids on residences of resistance leaders and Valley’s businessmen, the leaders said such “dirty ploys will neither demoralize the people from their faith in their political struggle and leadership nor will it help shift focus from the actual issue on the ground and the unprecedented atrocities committed against the Kashmiri people.”
“What such things expose is the anti-Kashmir and anti-Muslim mindset of the ruling class, both in India and in Kashmir, who are seeking revenge from people both at a political and economic levels,” the joint statement read. “To discuss this situation and its implications on hapless Kashmiris including the business community, a joint meeting of the leadership will be held at the residence of veteran leader Syed Ali Geelani tomorrow (Monday) at 11 am. Post-meeting, the joint leadership will address a press conference at Geelani’s residence to keep the people updated regarding the discussion and the course of action that will follow.”
