Dead body of soldier Sameer Malla found in Khag; No mark of firearm injury found on his body
The body of an army soldier was found in the Khag area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday three days after he went missing, police said.
Sameer Ahmad Malla hailing from Lokipora village of Khag was posted in Jammu and had recently come home on paternity leave.
He went missing from the village on Monday.
“Dead body of soldier Sameer Ahmad Malla found. No mark of firearm injury was found on his body. #Investigation is going on. We are looking into both aspects, terror crime & murder: IGP Kashmir,” a police spokesman said on Twitter.
Quoting sources, news agency GNS reported that Malla’s body was recovered from the Khag area.
